This page explains what NameCut collects, why, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to support@namecut.io.

What we collect

We collect your account email address for sign in, the files you upload for a job, and job and usage records that say what ran, when, and how it ended, so your activity history and your plan allowance work. We also collect product analytics about how the site is used, under the rules below. We never see or store your payment card details. Stripe handles payments as the merchant of record.

How files are handled

Uploaded files and the outputs made from them are deleted 24 hours after each job. Job records stay in your account so your activity history works. You can delete any job and its files at any time from the console, and you can delete your whole account there too, which removes your records with it. Your files are never used to train models and never sold.

Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics. Events carry counts, plan names, and outcomes only. They never carry file names, your noun phrases, email addresses, or media, and session recording is off. Analytics data is not sold.

Service providers

NameCut runs on service providers that process data only to run the service: hosting, a database, file storage, and email delivery, plus payments through Stripe as the merchant of record. An AI processing provider receives a file only to perform the cut you asked for.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a visitor cookie that scopes the anonymous photo trial to your browser. Analytics cookies apply only when analytics is enabled. There are no advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can review your account details and delete any job, or your whole account, in the console at any time. For access to your data, a correction, or a deletion the console does not cover, write to support@namecut.io and we will handle it.
