Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of NameCut. By using the site you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, write to support@namecut.io and we will explain it in plain words.

What NameCut is

NameCut is a web tool that cuts a named object out of a photo or a short video and returns a file you can download. NameCut is operated by a sole proprietor in California, USA.

Accounts

A free account is needed to download files and to run video jobs. Without an account you can still try one photo at a time in the browser. Keep your sign in details to yourself, and write to support@namecut.io if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time in the console.

Your files

You keep every right you hold in the files you upload and in the files NameCut makes from them. We process your files only to run the jobs you ask for. Source files, masks, previews, and exports are deleted 24 hours after each job, and you can delete a job and its files right away from the console. Your files are never used to train models and never sold.

Acceptable use

Use NameCut only for content you have the right to edit. Do not upload unlawful content, do not try to bypass plan limits or security checks, and do not run automated load that interferes with the service for others. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Plans and billing

Free accounts carry a monthly cut allowance at no charge. Paid plans are sold through Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and handles the payment and the applicable taxes. Plan prices and allowances are the ones shown at checkout. A paid plan renews automatically each month on the same date until you cancel.

Canceling

You can cancel a paid plan at any time in the account area. The plan stays active to the end of the paid term, no refund is paid for the remaining days, and when the term ends the account returns to the free plan.

If we discontinue the service

If we ever decide to shut NameCut down, we will email account holders ahead of time. Paid plans will run to the end of their current term or we will refund the unused part of the term, and downloads stay available until the term ends.

Availability and liability

NameCut is provided as is. We work to keep the service running and the cuts clean, but we do not promise uptime or that every cut will be perfect. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim tied to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version always lives on this page with its update date, and continuing to use NameCut after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
